Breaking News: Carlos Alcaraz joins Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and others on exclusive list… See details

There are five most prestigious clay-court ATP events on the calendar. At 22, Carlos Alcaraz holds them all! The young Spaniard needed four seasons to complete a stunning feat and join the list of rare players.

Carlos Alcaraz conquered Barcelona and Madrid Open in 2022 around his 19th birthday and defended two titles a year later. The Spaniard became the Roland Garros winner in 2023, earning the biggest trophy on the slowest surface.

This spring, Alcaraz left everyone behind in Monte Carlo and Rome, adding the missing titles to his collection and writing history books!

With Madrid Open, Monte Carlo and Rome crowns safely in his CV, Carlos became only the fifth player to conquer all three clay-court Masters 1000 events.

The youngster joined Marcelo Rios, Gustavo Kuerten, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic on the exclusive list that speaks volume! The Chilean achieved that first with a strong run between 1997 and 1999.

Kuerten took charge and completed the clay-court Masters 1000 hat-trick in 1999 and 2000. Rafael Nadal stepped onto the scene half a decade later. The youngster conquered Monte Carlo and Barcelona in 2005.

Three years later, he ousted Roger Federer in the Hamburg final to complete the feat. Rafa went even further and became the only player with four clay-court Masters 1000 trophies after conquering Madrid in 2010.

Novak Djokovic started his journey in Rome in 2008. He won Madrid in 2011 and finally went all the way in Monte Carlo in 2013 to join the list as the fourth player.

Carlos enjoyed a great run this spring, adding missing pieces to his puzzle and entering the party at 22. The young Spaniard claimed his first Monte Carlo title in April over Lorenzo Musetti.

A month later, Carlos mirrored that run in Rome, toppling world no. 1 Jannik Sinner 7-6, 6-1 and completing the most prestigious trophies on the slowest surface.

Carlos denied two set points on serve in the 12th game of the opener. He clinched the tie break and marched over the top with a strong performance in set number two.
