Novak Djokovic, Taylor Fritz, and 14 others tennis world’s top 50 makes Entry List ATP Geneva Open 2025

Sixteen of the world’s top 50 have signed up to participate in the Geneva Open between 17-24 May in what is a leading precursor prior to the French Open with Novak Djokovic and Taylor Fritz leading the way at Parc des Eaux-Vives.

Others, Nicolas Jarry who has previously won the title as well as two runners-up in Tomas Machac and Denis Shapovalov are among the 21 names who are directly admitted into the draw. Fritz hasn’t played in some time and will return during Madrid.

The American has had an abdominal injury most of the season and has been managing it through the Sunshine Double withdrawing from UTS in Nimes as well as Monte-Carlo. But had entered a few weeks ago into the Entry List which is now fully confirmed.

Casper Ruud is the defending champion famously beating Novak Djokovic en route to the title 12 months ago. Novak played last minute during 2024 and he has since been confirmed to be playing it again. He didn’t play in Rome last week so is available to receive a wildcard which he accepted. Ruud has just withdrawn so won’t play.

Barcelona semi-finalist Karen Khachanov has also confirmed his spots. As well as Alexei Popyrin, Hubert Hurkacz, Lorenzo Sonego and Matteo Arnaldi. Three wildcards remain as well as qualifiers with rising Swiss star Henry Bernet and Leo Borg handed Qualifying Wild Cards.
